| Īpašums apraksts | Cognac Rémy Martin: This famous cognac’s house is first known for its fine Brandy. But it is also three centuries of history during which five generations have succeeded. In 1724, Remy Martin founded his own trading company. In the early nineteenth century, the cognac Grande Champagne Rémy Martin and the first cognac Fine Champagne Rémy Martin were created. Approximately at this time, the house’s emblem became the Chiron centaur. It represents the union between heaven and earth, but also between man and nature, symbol of all the know-how and excellence of the Remy Martin’s house. It is also in the nineteenth century that was born the most famous cognac of this house, Louis XIII. It is made from grapes coming from the best Grande Champagne plots, the most famous production area in Cognac. The Louis XIII is a combination of about 1200 brandies, aged in oak barrels, called “tierçons”. These drums allow optimal exchange between air, brandy and oak. The “Louis XIII”’s bottle, is inspired by a metal flask, which was used in the sixteenth century by soldiers at the Battle of Jarnac. Today, the cognac Louis XIII is locked in this precious bottle of crystal, numbered and engraved in 24- gold carat. Recently, limited editions of Louis XIII were established: the Diamond edition in 2001 and the famous Black Pearl in 2007 (the carafe is developed from a crystal Baccarat unique in the world, it was produced in limited edition, up to 786 copies). This bottle is fully representative of the excellence of the house. All cognacs from this house are from grapes grown only in the Grande and Petite Champagne. The grapes come from vines “ugni blanc”, “folle blanche” and “colombard”. They are, after a very carefully distillation process, aged in oak barrels.
