In 1791 young Thomas HINE left the family home in Dorset, England for Jarnac in France to learn the language. He probably would have eventually returned home. Fate, however, intervened when he fell in love with Françoise Elisabeth, daughter of a great cognac family. He married her in 1797 and patiently learnt the art of cognac making, which he was to elevate to its highest form of expression.
In 1991, to honour the marriage of his illustrious ancestor and Françoise Elisabeth, Bernard HINE created this unique Grande Champagne cognac. He designed an elegant decanter with Baccarat, one of the world's most prestigious makers of fine crystal to dress this special cognac. He called his creation 'MARIAGE de Thomas HINE'.

MARIAGE is a blend of 12 different Grande Champagne cognacs.
With its finesse and aromatic richness, this exceptional cognac is an introduction to the world of perfection. On the nose, from the complexity of aromas, notes of hazelnut and walnut stand out, showing the maturity of the cognac. These are combined with floral notes, particularly of jasmine.
On the palate, notes of oak and vanilla give great structure to the cognac, but do not mask its softness and persistency. This blend, with its elegance and its aromatic complexity is outstanding. The palate, delicately woody and velvety, confirms the great heritage of this cognac.
MARIAGE is presented in an elegant red wood case, made by a renowned French cabinet maker. Each case is individually crafted to ensure perfection and can easily be transformed in a genuine cigar humidor.

| Īpašums apraksts | The name of this cognac comes from its founder, Thomas Hine. In the eighteenth century, he married the daughter of James Delamain, owner of the famous cognac house of the same name. He worked in this house and then decided to create his own company in 1817. The Hine’s cognacs are known to be the official supplier of Queen Elizabeth II since the 1960's. On top, the Hine house is known for its exceptional Vintages Brandies’ reserve dating from the early twentieth century. Some vintage cognacs, called “Early Landed", are aged exclusively in Bristol, England. They offer finesse and a unique floral bouquet. The Hine’s cognacs are exclusively from Grande and Petite Champagne. |
